In the past A decade there were all sort of different types of mobile phone batteries. Just recently mobile phone makers have switched to the Lithium Ion technology for today's mobile phone batteries. We want to herald the Lithium Ion name and tell you why these are simply without doubt the most effective batteries to date!

A few years ago mobile phones used Nickel-Cadmium batteries which had a "memory" as they say. This means that if you let you battery arrive at 50% of charge capacity then charged it it could learn to believe that at 50% capacity it was totally empty. Many of us remember how fast cellular phone batteries did actually die using the (Ni-Cad) battery. When you have a Nickel-Cadmium or even a Nickel-Metal Hydride battery, be sure you let it run down before charging take the correct memory parameters. Lithium Ion batteries don't have any "memory effect" whatsoever. Which means you may charge your phone when the battery is at 80% or when it is completely dead without harming battery.

These kinds of batteries also do not get any damage if you utilize your phone while its charging. Older mobile phones that used older forms of batteries would damage battery if used while charging. This is not the case anymore with all the newer cell phone batteries.

Another excellent feature of Lithium batteries is the weight. Most of us remember the "brick" cellular phones that have been heavy. Today's cell phones are lighter than ever before because of the new Lithium Ion battery. These newer batteries pack plenty of punch while requiring very little physical space. Due to this technology we now have had technological advances including the ipod. Even many Hybrid vehicles on the road run using this same Lithium Ion technology.

Although the Lithium Ion is the greatest battery around you can still find stuff that will drain it quickly. Leaving your phone on vibrate will drain your batter extremely fast in addition to operating your phone over a 3g network. The back light with the screen of the mobile device also drains the battery relatively quickly. Individuals who search the web or play games on the phone routinely have much shorter battery because they are draining the battery charge faster than many people.

If you're searching for any replacement battery or a backup, remember which battery rules. Please reference your manufacturer's help guide to make sure you replace your existing battery using the exact Lithium ion battery manufacturer suggests.
