Previously 10 years there were all sort of different types of mobile phone batteries. Just recently cellular phone makers have switched to the Lithium Ion technology for today's cellular phone batteries. We would like to herald the Lithium Ion name and let you know the are simply absolutely the best batteries up to now!

A few years ago cell phones used Nickel-Cadmium batteries which in fact had a "memory" so to speak. What this means is that if you enable you to battery get to 50% of charge capacity after which charged it it could start to feel that at 50% capacity it had been totally empty. A lot of us remember how quick cell phone batteries did actually die using the (Ni-Cad) battery. For those who have a Nickel-Cadmium or perhaps a Nickel-Metal Hydride battery, be sure you let it run all the way down before charging allow it the proper memory parameters. Lithium Ion batteries haven't any "memory effect" whatsoever. This means you can charge your phone once the battery are at 80% or if it is completely dead without harming it.

These types of batteries also don't receive any damage if you are using your phone while its charging. Older cellular phones that used older kinds of batteries would damage the battery if used while charging. This is incorrect anymore with the newer cellular phone batteries.

Another really great feature of Lithium batteries is the weight. We all recall the "brick" cell phones which were heavy. Today's cell phones are lighter than in the past because of the new Lithium Ion battery. These newer batteries pack plenty of punch while requiring very little physical space. Due to this technology we've had technological advances including the ipod and iphone. Even many Hybrid vehicles on the road run on this same Lithium Ion technology.

Although the Lithium Ion is the best battery around you may still find stuff that will drain it quickly. Leaving your phone on vibrate will drain your batter quickly in addition to operating your phone on the 3g network. The trunk light of the screen of the mobile phone also drains the battery relatively quickly. People that search the net or play games on the phone typically have much shorter life of the battery because they are draining the battery charge faster than many people.

If you are searching for any replacement battery or a backup, remember which battery rules. Please reference your manufacturer's self-help guide to ensure you replace your current battery with all the exact Li-ion battery manufacturer suggests.
